Hexidyl Mouthwash is an antiseptic solution used for the disinfection of the mouth. It is indicated as an aid in maintaining oral hygiene, preventing and treating gingivitis, inhibiting dental plaque formation, and managing aphthous ulceration, oral candidal infections, and inflammations caused by denture use. It may also be used in post-periodontal surgery or treatment regimens to promote gingival healing.

Ingredients: * Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% w/v. * Inactive Ingredients: Purified Water, Sorbitol Solution, Ethanol 95% (Alcohol 95%), PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Peppermint Oil. * Note: PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil may cause skin irritation, and the alcohol content may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

Usage Instructions: Hexidyl Mouthwash is intended for oral use only and should not be swallowed. * General Use: The usual dose is 10 ml, to be rinsed around the mouth for one minute, twice a day, then spit out. * Timing: After brushing your teeth, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and wait 5 minutes before using Hexidyl Mouthwash. Alternatively, you can use the mouthwash at a different time of the day. This is because toothpastes may impair the activity of the mouthwash. * Specific Conditions: * Gingivitis (gum inflammation): Recommended for use for one month. * Mouth ulcers and oral thrush (candidal infections): Continue using for an additional two days after the area has healed or symptoms have resolved. * Mouth inflammations due to denture use: Clean dentures and soak them in the mouthwash for 15 minutes, twice daily. * Following dental surgery: Use according to your dentist's instructions. * Important Precautions: * Do not use in children under 12 years of age unless recommended by a doctor. * If the solution comes into contact with eyes or ears, rinse them thoroughly with water. * Temporary staining of the teeth and tongue may occur. * Do not bleach fabrics that have been in contact with the mouthwash. * Storage: Store at a temperature below 25°C, in the original package to protect from light. The medicine can be used for up to 6 months after first opening the bottle, and no later than the expiry date on the package.
